The Primitive Pinecone Gift Shop is excited to announce they have partnered with the American Cancer Society (ACS) to raise funds this upcoming holiday season. The Primitive Pinecone is selling a new product called the Cancer Awareness Ribbon Wreath. It is available for purchase in the Primitive Pinecone and here on our site. Earlier this year, the Hill family had the idea to modify a standard round wreath ring into the shape of the nationally recognized awareness ribbon. Because the completed evergreen wreath looked beautiful, the family decided it should be made available for public sale. Furthermore, they felt a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the Ribbon Wreath should be donated to a great cause…fighting cancer.

Cancer is a dreaded disease which touches everyone in some respect. The American Cancer Society tirelessly fundraises and works towards providing the ultimate gift to all…a healthy life. The Hills believe the sale of the Ribbon Wreath should promote hope, as well as financially benefit the ACS. The family views this as an opportunity to raise monies which will benefit the community and the families who have supported their business for the past 73 years.

The purchase of a Ribbon Wreath as a gift, for someone currently battleing cancer, will signify a fighter! The wreath will provide hope and inspiration during the holiday season. For those individuals who have waged a valiant fight, but lost the ultime battle against cancer, a Ribbon Wreath may be placed graveside in their honor.

The Cancer Awareness Ribbon Wreath is an evergreen wreath dressed with a hand-tied purple bow to represent all forms of cancer, as well as the ACS Relay for Life events. The cost of this wreath is $25.00, plus a $20 shipping and handling fee if purchased online. The Primitive Pinecone, located at Hill Farms, will be donating 30%, or $7.50, from the sale of each Ribbon Wreath to the ACS. The last day for orders will be December 16, 2011.
